The Sludge Barrier is a magnetic separation system that removes small ferrous particles and fines from the coolant tank. Sludge Barriers can be implemented in a new tank or retrofitted to almost any existing coolant tank. The Sludge Barrier is ideal for steel, cast and/or ductile iron applications.
Mayfran has two types of sludge barriers:
Mayfran ASB Auto Sludge Barrier: will catch particles and automatically carry it out in a bin. An electrical power input is needed. In it’s secondary function it can be used as an oil skimmer.
Mayfran SB Manual Sludge Barrier: will catch particles, sludge disposal requires manual handling of the product. No power input required.
MAYFRAN CLEANSWEEP G2 SYSTEM
Cleansweep G2 is the second generation of Mayfran Cleansweep series.
Swarf and chips are carried to the discharge point by Mayfran‘s high quality hinged belt. Fine particles that have passed through the belt are intercepted by the self-cleaning screen boxes.
Cleansweep G2 has a patented chip handling system to remove the fine particles effectively.

• Compact design to fit almost any machine tool and coolant tank
• It removes many more fine particles than a conventional conveyor
• It reduces the need for cleaning of downstream baskets, screen filters and coolant tank

MAYFRAN DEEPBED PAPER FILTER SYSTEM
The Mayfran Deepbed Paper Filter (DPF) filters out swarf chips and fine particles from cutting fluids used in metal cutting processes.
DPF is the compact and cost-effective paper filter model, and it is specially designed to challenge modern day space constrains while assuring filtration performance and minimizing paper consumption.
MAYFRAN HIGH PRESSURE BYPASS FILTER SYSTEM
The High Pressure Bypass filter (HPBF) provides high pressure coolant to a machine tool and also continuous cleaning of the main coolant thanks to its bypass filter function.
FEATURES AND BENEFITS
• High-pressure coolant provides faster production, longer tool life and better surface quality
• The paper media continuously and economically removes dirt particles in bypass filtering mode, even when
the high-pressure pump is not running
• The automatic operation of the paper filter minimizes production losses and costs from having to change any
bag or magnetic filters
• Increased machine uptime through cleaner coolant, less sludge settling and reduced coolant tank maintenance
• Integrated sensors in both machine tool and HPBF tanks give a warning when the coolant level is low or high
• Easy installation for both existing and new machine tools
